Hello people. It's a great community here and I have been perusing hte site for a while now...savoring the knowledge. I picked up a VFR to work on as a project and I was excited just having a bike to work on. Now that Iknow how awesome a VFR could be, I am stoked that I got this bike. I'm not an experienced rider by the way, but I'm pretty certain I will negotiate my learning curve diligently. While I am working on the VFR, I plan to get a 250 to hone my skills. looking forward to making some friends on here and being a sponge - learning! Cheers!! Now, unto the Gen Discussions...I have a few problems that need help solved.
daqangel Welcome to the MadHouse :smile: I see you have posted some pictures of your project on another thread - so hopefully you won't be given the usual newbie welcome hassle to post up photos. :biggrin: If you want practical help with your project its a good idea to update your profile to show which State/town you are in, and now you know its a 5th Gen you are trying to fix add that info as well. As for starting out with a smaller bike - thats a great idea, and one I wish all new riders adopted. Locally we have already had one fatality in the valley this year - sadly another young rider and given the location quite probably another target lock victim. Even after you pass your rider test, its well worth getting some decent follow-up instruction and assessment - as other experienced riders can often alert you to, and help correct, bad habits which could potentially get you into trouble.
