Just bought a 00 VFR. I love this bike. It needs a lil TLC got's some fairing damage. Advice on should i rebuild or buy new aftermarket.
You can order directly from service honda (about $450 painted for each side fairing), ebay, look in the buying and selling on here and VFRDiscussion.com, and even craigslist. Oh, hello and welcome by the way!
Hello and welcome to the forum, I live in Hickory not far from ya, my bike was cracked up and scratched when i received it, I fiber glassed every thing and it turned out great, if you have the skill and time i would at least try to fix it myself as long as it's not to bad off, do you have any pics??
The newer VFRs have plastic(abs)((acrylbutylstyrene?)bodywork.Fiberglass repair methods don't work.I believe their is great info on this site about ABS repair.In the archive tech stuff.The abs is black,fiberglass is different.Buy new if it's bad,and you have the$.Crafty handyman skill required for repair.Sanding,painting,and all that.Excuse me,depends on the damage and the love.
