Good evening all. I figure it's about time to introduce myself. I purchased a 2007 VFR a couple of months ago. I have a Vulcan 900 as well. I was looking for something a little more sporty (after my wife purchased a Ninja 650) and found a great deal on the VFR. Had 2200 miles on it when I brought her home. Had to lower it a bit because I have a 29" inseam. I found the thread here on VFR World, and yes I lowered the front as well to keep the geometry. I use my Vulcan as my commuter because it has bags. I am slowly getting used to the Viffer, but it has been slow going. With less than 300 of my miles on it, I caught my pant leg on the foot peg while trying to plant my foot in a parking lot. I rode her down and used my body as a shield. Bent the clutch lever and put a couple scratches on the body. Pissed me off, but I got a new lever and buffed out the scratches. I still feel like a squid for laying it down, in a crowded parking lot, over the 4th of July weekend, just trying to get a cup of coffee...:mad: Oh well, there are two types of riders and I guess I am now part of the majority. Could have been worse.

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and if any of you are in western Pa, drop me a line.

    Nice bike.

And, yes, I also have also caught a pant leg at a stop - although luckily I caught it before I fell. Betcha you won't set yourself up for THAT again!

Welcome to the madness. The 6th Gen VFR is two bikes in one. There is a tourer under 6K and a sportbike over 6.2K. Enjoy, amigo.
