Hi, my name is travis, i live in baltimore, Md. I have been riding dirt bikes since i was 8 years old (19 now). My father and brother have been riding motorcycles on the street for a long time , and i have been on the motocross track. I always told them that i really did not have an interest in riding motorcycles on the streets (cannot jump them lol). Well this past winter i started buying broken dirt bikes, and fixing them up to flip them for some extra money. I got in contact with a guy that wanted to trade me his 1984 vf 500 interceptor. I really just wanted cash and was not all that interested. I showed my father a picture of the bike, because he loves older bikes. He urged me to take the deal, and that if i really did not want the bike he would buy it off of me. Well i am really glad that i took his advice. I am totally in love with my interceptor. It is so awesome to now be able to ride with my father and brother. Now just a little bit on what i have done to the bike; I have taken the bike completely apart, cleaned it, and gave it a complete tune up. I also repainted the engine, exhaust, tank, cowls, and frame. Well, thats my story of how i joined the vfrworld. Hopefully i will see some of you MD VFR riders out there, Thanks for reading.
