At 64 decided to go ahead and try a 2001 VFR. Have seen and since lost some ads that described aftermarket pegs to lower the position. Not techno adept but am working at it. I'm 6' and seem to catch the air off the aftermarket shield right under the helmet. Any suggestions there. I do wear earplugs. I've tried search feature on the site but keep coming up with the start of the most recent posts. Also ride 650 VStrom, 04 Wing (spousal unit's ride), DRZ 400.

Welcome to the site Bubba. I guess every one's issue with wind is quite different as everyone has their heights proportionately different. Personally, I don't seem to have much of a wind issue but then I am on a 6th gen and ever so slightly shorter than you. The only real time I have wind issues is when I am in the turbulence of a truck. And I just go with the flow. In fact, I relax as much as I can and just let my head bib around. Your eyes will stay focused enough to ride safe. I wouldn't be drilling any teeth like that but for riding it is fine. You will discover far less fatigue this way as well.

We have a strong belief on this site though. If a noobie posts up saying he has a VFR, we assume he is lying, unless he posts pix. And we don't have any respect that way even for our elders.
