Hi to all just found out about this forum from an existing member when she found out I just got a 1985 VF1000 R she told me about this forum so I will be asking for help locating the few parts to finish off the restoration of the VF. I live in Las Vegas have been riding motorcycles since 1968. Look forward to interfacing on this forum.
It's great to have another VF1KR member. You need to post some pictures and tell us a little bit about the bike. Welcome to the forum.
I wonder who that other VFRW Vegas member is.........hmmmmmm.... Welcome to the site. No praising Colonel Sanders or your new found friend will send you to detention. Post pix
Pics and what I know of the bike The member that recommended this forum to me is VFRChick we ride together on occasions. Was on a charity poker run last Sat second stop was at Arlen Ness shop and there it was so put a deposit till i could test ride it which was following Mon ride went well so i took it home. Ness claimed to have 16,000 into it for previous owner who paid about 7.000 down then ran out of money and signed title over to shop which sold it with a little profit to me.
That looks like a nice and clean R. The bodywork looks really good from the pictures. It is hard to find one of these that doesn't have some kind of damage to it. It looks like you're missing one side screen cover and the tail light cover. They do come up every now and then for sale. The tail light cover is especially hard to find.
Looks good. It's always nice to see another ole VFKR in good shape. Keep an eye out on ebay and you'll find the tail piece and side mesh cover.
