Newbie here. Just picked up a very clean 06 with ABS out of AZ.

She is really beautiful and very fast. Hopefully I wont get myself killed learning how to ride !!

    Hey clubmyke:
Nice bike. I'm sure your going to love it. If you've never riden a bike take a MC safety course. It'll give you the basics to keep the shiny parts off the ground. If you have riden before take an Experienced Rider Course or even an Advanced Rider Course. When you learn how to corner that bike of yours you'll not only stay out of the ditch but you'll have the biggest, stupidest smile you ever had!

I agree with Steeveeg. Especially if you haven't had a bike before. Luckily I had a 5th gen first. It was smaller in some ways. I dropped it twice (too low speed, and driveway stuff). Made me ready for the pretty red thing I have now. Welcome to VFR country. Nice bike!!!
BTW, Peter10 is there in AZ looking for a 6th gen. you might PM him and let him know how you got hold of yours.

that's a helluva bike to learn on, but it's entirely doable. just try and remember when you think you have it all learned, you don't. always always always, give yourself lots of buffer room as far as taking off, slowing down, and learning.
