New to VFR. Brake lights not working 1000 m

Hello Gents.
I was poison by look and traded my VTX1800 for 2007 RWB.
I got it with 650 m from dealer and now brake lights are out. Checked bulbs and fuses but they are ok. Is it common problem or I am lucky SOB?
Change to wider grips and order Buell pegs.
Love afterburner but it scared s^%$ out of my when it kicked in at 6000 rpms
After cruiser I have to lern to ride again

i had the same problem with my 86 i dont know if the brake light set up it the same but it ended up i had to change my switch located at the lever. mine was bad after that it worked just fine
