Hey everybody, just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Darren and I'm from Burlington, Ontario. (south of Toronto).

I picked up my VFR400 (NC30) back in May '08 from a JDM importer for my first bike. I rode the snot out of it all summer and it's been a great bike. I plan on doing some cosmetic work to it this winter while it's stored in the garage. I dropped it once over the summer and it had been dropped once by the previous owner. Mechanically the bike is great, only had 20,200km on it when I got it. It's got about 29,000km as it sits now. These are very rare bikes and when people ask what I ride I get either blank stares or the few people who know about them, their eyes just light up...lol

If anybody has any questions about the bike or wants to hook up for a ride when spring arrives just let me know.

    Some eye candy:

I'm not very good on the history of the VFR, but that's a cool-ass looking bike. I like it!

Is that aftermarket suspension on there?

    Howdy Psycho Biker!
Great bike! And what is the black car in the garage? It looks like a '93ish RX-7 Twin turbo, but I can't tell.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the comments and for making me feel welcome! I thought people would hate cause I don't have an interceptor. I want to buy an older 750 actually, I love the '86 VFR750. Maybe if I find one in decent condition...

Pliskin, no that's the stock suspension on it. Showa forks and a showa shock came on it from the factory. Has adjustable preload and damping on both ends.

Craig In Alabama, that RX7 isn't mine unfortunately. That picture was taken at the JDM importer the day I bought the VFR.

^^Yup. 14,500RPM redline stock. Mine revs to 15,600RPM because it's got the HRC CDI/fuelmap. Just screams...I feel bad for the people I pass on the highway. haha no I really don't...

It's not weak in the lower revs though. Just a tiny flatspot around 5k. Pulls HARD from 7 grand all the way up.
