Morning everyone, my name is Justin. I have been riding since the summer I turned 18 so about 12 yrs now. I currently have a 94 CBR F2 and love it. I am looking to upgrade here soon and doing my research before I make my mind up on what I am going to buy. I have a few questions and would like your opinions. I want to go up to fuel injection, what yr did fi start in the VFR? Is there any little problems like the R/R on the earlier CBR that I should be aware of with the VFR? What is the availability of after market resources and support for the VFR? If there is anything else that I should be aware of as well, please post it. Thanks, Justin
Hey! Welcome to the forum! Sorry your thread was missed. I'm still runnin carb'd VFRs so I may end up wrong here; but I believe FI started with the 5th gen in 1998. yes, the charging system on the VFR sucks at least as bad as the CBR. But aftermarket wiring harnesses, stators, and R/Rs are available at reasonable prices that will remedy the problem.
