NEW to the world of VFR's

So tomorow I am picking up my new to me 2006 VFR. It's pearl white with ABS. This is quite possibly the most exciting day of my life. I had a BMW f650GS for about 8 months until wheelies got the best of me and put me into a depression after a 3 a.m. wreck. I think I have grown up now and am past the show-boating stage. I can't wait to go for my first ride. Unfortuneately the weather here in Colorado is still a bit too unpredictable to go far so I think I'll stay within a hundred miles until April or so. Any tips for me or anything advice you have picked up I am more than happy to listen.
