hello, im new to the site and new to the bike, i've raced motocross for years and i ride a little on the street with my dr650 but never done much with a street bike. i recently purchased a 1991 VFR750 it has been parked in a garage since 1995 when it was laid down on the right hand side. so all the plastic on the right hand side is gone every thing else is in great shape, with the exception of the previous own leaving gas in it. so i cleaned the carbs but i cant get it to run. its got spark compression its timed properly so i don't know where to go from here.....any help with this would be great

    Welcome!

You may want to check the tank for rust and the fuel filter for plugging and the right bar for crash damage that may have affected the kill switch.
Also, on the side stand there's a kill switch that'll not let 'er start if it's made too.

You'll find lots of people here willin to help. Keep us posted.
