New to the Gen 3...have some questions please help

    Hello Everyone,

    I just picked up a Gen 3..its my first one..could you please tell me what parts will interchange from other models? Rear wheel, forks, whatever...i do know i need a rear wheel and i do need a frontend...this bike was wrecked and im looking to do a streetfighter with it.

    3rd Gens have 5.5" inch wide wheels while 4th Gens have 5" inch wheels.

    They can be used but you won't be able to use as big a tire on it. I run 180/55-17 Michelins on mine. I think 170/60-17 is what is recommended for a 5" inch wheel. I don't believe the forks are swappable but I could be mistaken.

    Thanks Rollin...im just lookin to get it on the road and ride..a 1/2" dont matter to me lol...the 93 wheel looks good but the money i can save with a 94 up is better!

    versus having no plastic and having to buy it?? hell yes!! I paid $300 for the bike w/ title...dang right its gonna be naked. If I do decide to clothe her im thinking a RC30 clone...but i really do like the naked look and its best by far to play it that way for this particular bike. I wouldnt take a nice Gen 3 and strip it but the opportunity presented itself so im running with it...
