Hello everyone, I just brought a 2002 VFR with 13000 mile that has been neglected and needs some TLC. I just fell in love with the bike. I am planning on taking off the fairings to see what I find. I'm definitely going to need some advise and plan on sharing my findings/repairs with the forum.

Your at the right place, now remember the inside plastic clips from hell needs the center pushed in to release and pull out.
Hopefully you have an owners manual.
    Good luck

Hi and welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

If the bikes been parked for a long while you could be starting a long haul project, so it might be sensible to update your forum profile (Forum Actions+Edit Profile) to include the specs of your bike and an approximate location city/state is fine, that way you may find someone on here lives nearby and might be willing to swing by and offer advice especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge:drink:.

As for the project - too often people are very keen and go ripping into a project without taking any photos of what the bike looked like to start with. So whilst you have some down time get that camera/phone out and when you can post up a picture or two here - its easy - click the insert image icon, follow the prompts to select and upload an image on your computer.

    Take care and good luck

Good point and also good for when taking apart to refer back to pics.
When I got my bike it rained for a week, so I removed all the fairings just because---may want to ziplock and post with a sharpie where they all came from--- saved my ass after not having a bike for 10 years
