Here is my new baby. I just picked her up last weekend and am in the process of getting her roadworthy. I got the bike for $300 as it wasn't running and the PO didn't have the wherewithal to fix it himself.

Turns out a new battery, fuel system flush, oil change and carb cleaning were all it took to get her purring like a kitten. Just needs new brake pads and she'll be ready to go! Needless to say I'm excited. I plan to ride as is for the summer and give it a full once-over in the winter.

My question to all you folks: is the colour a stock paint job or is it aftermarket? I've only seen the red white and blue paint.scheme online.

Good luck ! Check valve clearances before alot of riding. Also inspect fuel tank interior for signs of rust, and change out old coolant. Don't redline it ever, not on that bike !!

    Hello variable,
I am a total newbie to motorcycles and the 84 VF500F Interceptor. I have a 68' Vespa 180 Rally but that doesn't count lol. Also new on this forum. I'll try and post a photo (first attempt).

It worked. The tank is just resting on top out of place.

    cheers,
    ~Earl J
