    Hi all,
I have been visiting this forum for almost one year while looking for my second Viffer. I just bought a '97 in September 2006 on Ebay with 24K mikes and have ridden her 2000 miles - Sweet! My '83 VF750F is getting stripped to accept an electric motor and batteries.

The '97 was low sided by the previous owner at a pretty good speed because he had to replace the forks and the fairings were crushed, both sides. I replaced or repaired all the plastic, put a fan on the regulator, put Pilot Road's front and rear and replaced the chain and sprockets. I am just a commuter trying to get smooth on the bike having not ridden for 25 years. I am thinking there is a track day in my future for spring 2007.

There is a lot of useful information on this forum and I am looking forward to reading more. Pictures of the scooter to follow.

    Dave

    Thanks for the welcome.

I will send pictures of the '83 electric conversion as it progresses. I am feeling a little sorry to see the engine come out since it was running when I drove it into the garage. I guess I'll sell the engine for what ever I can get to help offset the cost of electrification. You know the sound is going to suck compared to the original but it may be interesting to be in stealth mode...

The only shot of my '97 was taken by the previous owner but it shows the damage when I got it.

I'll shoot some after shots in the next few days
