    Hello all,

I'm new to VFRW, found lots of good info here.
I'm looking at a used 15k mile 2002 VFR800A and I'm wondering where one would go for the 2-wheeled equivalent of a "carfax" and whether it's worth it.

I searched on "vin report" and did come up with much.

Google yielded cyclechex.com, can anyone speak to experience with that site?

    Thanks!

I know that when a car has a considerable amount of repairs, the shops are required to report it. For a bike, I'm not sure the same is true. Not just that, but when you have a mishap with a bike, I would bet that most people do the repairs themselves and you would therefore have no way to know about it. I'm not sure whether I would trust a bike report. I'd be more concerned about looking the bike over yourself. You can tell a lot by inspecting it yourself and trying to track down the history from the current owner.

Welcome to the forum and let us know if you buy the bike.

Thanks for the advice. Good common sense, a rare commodity today.
I've read some good telltale signs of problems on the site.

I'll update everyone (with pics) when I pull the trigger on something.

    Thanks again!
