New to forum and thinking about buying a 98 vfr800

Greetings, I currently am in the Navy and live in Florida. I will be getting out and moving back home to Seattle. I am in the market for a bike to commute in and out of the city for the summer, initially I wanted a Goldwing (late 80's). but then I got presented an opportunity to purchase a 98 VFR 800 with 2100 miles, for only $2000, I went and looked at it and it has been garage kept, has good gas in it , it just needs a battery before I can test drive it.

From the little research I've done this seems like a great deal. I may have to pick it up and put some hard bags on it.

Any thoughts from you experienced guys, or links to some good searches for hard bags/luggage?
