Just this. I can't figure out how to remove the seat. I read that I rotate the helmet lock the opposite way, but that doesn't work. What should I do? If the helmet lock/seat lock is supposed to do it, mine is frozen. The helmet lock works, but it won't do anything else than that.

EDIT: How do I remove the seat since it appears that this seat latch is frozen one way.

Insert key, in the helmet lock, twist clockwise quarter turn, there is a little black tab behind the key mechanism, pull down, then when holding that black lever tab down, lift up on the passenger rear part of the seat. it should pull up then pull back wa-la

Pushing down on the seat is a great first strike solution to the problem. A fat girlfriend or SO works well too. Even one of those same sex arrangements can work oot too.

Most of the great unwashed don't spend that much time checking out to see if what was under the seat last time is still there. Those latch mechanisms are kluges at best. Seat foam swells, the cables stretch ect. If the seat release handle or ring is problematic stick a broomstick in the hole and whack it with a mallet. Don't try this whilst in motion on the bike or the porky chica.

The mallet can be handy if the seat has not been removed in some time. Spiders and scorpions could be lurking.
