This is a service provided by the UK's DVLA which is the vehicle registration & licensing department of HMG (Her Majesty's Government)

    How Many Left?

You can see how many of any UK registered road vehicles are on the roads or registered but off the road on a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) which is HMG's way of making sure that registered vehicles are either Taxed (on the road) or Tax free (SORN = off the road).

As an aside, if you declare SORN & are found on the road, its a big fine & back dated taxes for youyr vehicle, plus your vehicle may be seized & crushed for your troubles. It's great to live in the UK :frown:

But the site is cool. Her's the HMG explanation How Many Left? | data.gov.uk

Quite a few VFR's of various gens still on the road & as the data only covers from 1994 at the moment, you can see the purchase trends for bikes that were released since then & the decay over time as they died or were written off !

    Enjoy
