Well, as many times as I've refered to this forum for info on my VFR, I never really posted. So, Huge thanks to all the members who do post, You've made life a little easier for me. Anyway, after installing my new Power Commander on my totally stock '02, I experienced rough idle, and lurchy acceleration. After a quick (and easy) search on this forum, I learned about the o2 sensor bypass with $0.40 worth 330 ohm resistors from radio shack. Worked like a charm and only took about 20 minutes start to finish. Big thanks (so sorry I forgot his name) to the member who posted the pictures and information for that little mod. Now, like everyone else has said, power delivery is much smoother, and, tho not seamless, the transition to all four valves opening up is much much smoother. So I feel like my, um, a little less than $300 (thanks Suicycle) was a great, expandable add-on.
Maybe its a 6th gen thing. PC didn't mention anything about bypassing the o2 sensors. I only remembered running across some posts while researching before I bought it. Curious, was your 5th gen. originally sold in CA? My 6th gen was. Wonder if that makes any difference...
