HI all, just found your site and hoping it will come in handy. Just got a great deal on a nice 1984 VFR 1000F that has been hibernating in a shed since 1998. It's all there and has a few period extras on it. Hasn't been run in a LONG time and that will be my first order of biz on it. I have cleaned it up and actually like the look! Have had other Hondas, a 1980 750F, but this is my first V-4. I already have a grage full of other rides, '02 Aprilia Caponord, '02 BMW K1200RS, an '06 Triumph Scrambler and an '08 Triumph Speedmaster. PIc is of the bike as it came to light after being in the shed since '98.

And a pic of it after it's first clean-up

Looks good. It's always nice to see one of these classics come out of hibernation, especially when you're looking to restore it. How does the tank look after all these years? Any rust? Was there gas left in it? Let us know when you get it running.

    lucky find

Looks like a great 'barn find'. Hope you can get it running soon. I found one last year and love it. Wait til you take it to the mountains! Your sig says you are in Orlando, I'm not too far north in Deleon Springs. If you need help, or just want to get together to compare notes, let me know. Glad to help if I can.

Suggestion: remove valve covers, inspect cam lobes for wear, measure valve clearances, read up on oiling problem and oil mod.......
