Names Cam. I have had this screen name for over a decade, so i've kept it through the forums I am on... I'm going on 25, the name is from Futurama. Now that the name is out of the way, I will start by saying, I love my bike. My first bike, which I am selling, is an 85 Nighthawk 650SC. three years ago i got her with crap bars, no centerstand, 12 yr. old tires, no gauge cluster and a custom paint job. I have since torn every piece of plastic off, cleaned every nook and cranny, soaked all plastics like airbox, under fender, evap and hoses in pine sol and water. Rinse in water and brand spanking new. Polished all the metal on the bike and put better bars on, a cluster, centerstand, clutch, cam chain tensioner spring, rebuilt clutch master and brake master, tires and tore the carbs apart more times than i can count. I can have those off the bike and torn apart in 30 min. then back on and started in maybe 45 because im sort of anal on perfection. I am the type that cleans when parts are taken off or replaced. brand new exhaust? dont care, gotta polish it, haha. I have done all the work either myself or with the assistance of a friend with better tools. I love doing most things myself or with help if need be. Now, I own a 00 vfr 800 and she is torn apart in the garage. I am ordering a new exhaust as the current set is garbage and has some rust holes, and a bad weld patch job. Needs an air filter, did the oil change, tossed the Micron filter as it was leaking from a gaping hole on the side... Kept the intermediate pipe though. Perhaps a future use. Came with a Danmoto XG-1 exhaust which i am excited to put on. I was going to order an 06 vfr800's stock exhaust but since the Delkevic set is larger diameter, why not. I know its OEM style, im not looking for a power bump. But figure, why not. I have always wanted a good sounding exhaust. my Nighthawk is stock exhaust so its dead quiet, but man she scoots. I outran a 2010 stang on a 50 dig. past 130 haha. my speed cable wasnt lubed well and i thought i was only doing 75 HAHAHA. he stopped at 125 and i was still pulling away so i figured at least 130. I need to also get a front fairing stay. Lets say, he went down. the bike came with a new fairing set but i think its one of those vaccuum formed kits, not the injection molded. Ill use them until i find the right kit then swap em out. Also, tanks factory yellow, which I dont mind... but I love the metallic. Heres pics of the first bike, and the VFR. Hope the links work. I had to update my photobucket. Phone has 4200 pics on it... took a bit to update my backup too, haha. Nice looking Nighthawk, really looks well taken care of. You "tossed" the Micron as in it's gone or you can still send it for the cost of shipping? I'll take it if it's still around. Put some IMG tags, example: tags around your URLs to get the pics to show up.
The micron had a huge hole on the side of it. It was a dead can. Looked like a hammer met with it. All cracked and holy. Yeah I got lazy on the links.
