New owner need mechanic recommendation in LA

I just bought an '03 Interceptor with ABS. No maintainaince records so I wanted to take it to someone to have it looked over and also probably a tuneup. And can someone explain the the whole SV problem I keep reading about? I HATE taking bikes to dealers - and everyone says they usually do a crap job and some of them don't even know enough about the bikes they are working on. I live in the West Side of Los Angeles in Venice. Anyone know a good cycle shop I can trust that knows the Interceptor? I plan on keeping her quite a while so I'd like to make sure everything's in top shape. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm familiar with twin englines but nothing like the VFR. Thanks!
