My father gave me a 84 Magna 700c, that he said ran great while he owned, but the last time he had it fired up around 1.5yr ago, it seemed like it was running on 2 cylinders.

It would seem like the tank was more or less ran empty, and a local shop here made it sound like I should put some good clean gas in there first. See if I could start it that way.

I made sure tank was empty, filled up with some good gas, and got some seafoam for if I can actually get the thing started. New battery got me cranking over, and its sputtering like I am actually getting SOME spark, but it just cranks and cranks. The drain screws on the carbs are dumping fuel.

I am going to leave the battery on charge tonight as I am sure the cranking and cranking today took most of the juice out of it.

I've seen the v4 troubleshooting, but dont know where some of these items ARE on the bike... like main fuse and ignighter box.

the ignighter boxes are under the seat there are 3 of them 1 is for stop tail turn the other 2 are for feul pump and i believe ignition sounds like 1 is bad I would start by pulling plugs and make sure all are sparking fuses i think are covered and are in center of key switch hope this helps.
cdi boxes can usually be found on eBay.
