Picking up 07 vfr red white and blue Sat am just sold 08 1000rr I am getting to old i think but just couldn't get comfortable even with bar risers and peg lowers
Congrats on your new purchase. VFR ain't exactly on the same power level as your '08, but I think you'll find its a solid ride, and comfortable. Any extras on the new ride? Pipes? PC? Luggage? Seat? (Stock seat is a joke for most of us). Based on your previous risers and peg lowers, sounds like you might have to do that on the VFR as well. Or not. Me - I'm 6'2, 240# with a bad back. I got a Corbin saddle, with stock bars and pegs. I do just fine on the bike, but with my back, 400 miles is about my best day. But considering my back nags me whether 'm on the couch or in a Cadillac, I'll take 400 miles. Don't forget to post up some pics of your new girl.
Welcome to the World. You should get lots of enjoyment out of your new to you RWB. Like Pliskin, I have back issues to no end but am able to ride very long and hard on my 06. Not quite as tall as Pliskin and a few pounds lighter but in the same vicinity. But personally, I did not really notice a big difference between the stock seat and the Sergent which I presently have. Just my opinion that way though. Post up pix when you can. And again, welcome.
Congrats and welcome aboard! The VFR may not be as powerful but it will definitely be more comfy for those all day rides. I understand why someone would want more power for the track but for street riding the VFR has all the power you could ever need. The V4 growl doesn't sound too shabby either. Rollin
