Just joined, after weeks trolling around the forums gathering info. I am the proud "new" owner of a '93 VFR750F, and I absolutely love it. I low-speed high-sided my GSXR600 earlier this month- destroyed the plastics, which totalled the bike out, so I'm new to Hondas and VFR's. Found this site after a lot of searching, and realized the only way I could take advantage of the wealth of knowledge here was to join. I will be asking a lot of questions, especially about parts/accessories available for the 3rd Gen's. My Pearl White VFR has a full TwoBros exhaust (left single exit), jet kit, and K&N filters, but besides that, it's stock. Many of the threads I've read about aftermarket stuff for 3rd Gen's are as old as a couple years. I guess my first question to everyone here would be: Is there an up-to-date "central repository" of available aftermarket parts and accessories for the '90-'93 models here on the site? Thanks for looking, and thanks in advance for any help you all can provide. I'm looking forward to a great experience with my VFR; thanks for having this site available!
Welcome to the mayhem. Are you a Devil Dog? I can't see any other reason to live in 29 Stumps. I use Ride Now in AZ for my older parts. They have a very useful online parts finder. As far as aftermarket accessories, good luck, I don't have any recomendations. http://partsfinder.ridenow.com/ KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
KC-10FE & VFRShorty: Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I'm a Marine, and no, there isn't any other reason to live out here. Love The Corps, love the job, love the Marines I work with, but I don't see how anyone would choose to live out here; 9 months out of the year it's a scorched wasteland. No better place to train for Iraq, I suppose. I'll be sure to check out Ride Now for parts. I just found an auction for a smoked OEM-style windscreen, so I can cross that off my list. Next is the tedious task of wrapping the extractors and mid-pipe with Thermo-Tec; in this desert heat and base traffic, my legs are gonna catch on fire if I don't cover the exhaust! Again, thanks for the welcome!
