Bought my first sport bike last week. A 96 VFR750. I've put about 1K on it so far and seems to be a great bike. Was looking at buying a FZ1 or maybe a V-Strom to tour on but think I've found something better for half the money. Riding it down to the Dragon from Hocking Hills region of Ohio at the end of the month and figure that should tell me if I made the right decision. But to be honest with you it's such a good bike even if it turns out not to be a good tourer for me I'll still keep just for the local riding. Anyone who's knows my area will know why. We have some great roads in SE Ohio and western WV. So far I'm surprised at the fuel mileage it gets. I read some reviews before buying and seems like alot of people are only getting 36 to mid 40's but so far mines getting 50 mpg and thats riding 2 up half the time. None of my GS's ever got close to that, not even a Venture I had. I'm the 2nd owner and the first is in his 60's now so he was my age [ 47 ] when he bought it so its been well taken care of. Never been laid down and the front tire has never been of the ground. He toured on it including 2 trips thru New England and said when I loaded it in my truck it was the first time the bike had ever been transported from the day it was bought. My only complaint, The manual isnt very detailed. Not much of a problem for me but I can see where the weekend warriors would have a hard time working on their own rides.

Thanks. Bought the bike from your area. Picked it up in Louisville.
