    Hello everyone,

Just joined the forum today. I'm presently in the teardown phase of a more or less complete rebuild of an '84 VF500F Interceptor that my gf's dad had sitting around (inside and unfortunately, outside with the tank and plenum off... cannot tell you how much nastiness I've pulled out of that sucker so far.) But it is what it is, and the price was right (free). He had a ton of spare parts for the bike, as he had intentions of restoring it himself. He never got around to it. He found himself in a position where he had to move on short notice, and it was either going into the dumpster, or to me.

Sooooo... here we are. I've already found a lot of useful information on the forums here just via google searches, and will be going back to thank some of you folks for posting your experiences, successes, failures, and advice.

I'll be starting a new build thread for the bike soon, as soon as I get some pics together, though at the moment, there's not much to show... the whole bike is in about a million pieces, in a state of organized chaos. The bike itself is more or less a rolling frame, so it's a start.

Hello again, and look forward to talking with ya!
    -Sean

http://vfrworld.com/forums/1st-2nd-...500f-interceptor-little-my-own-influence.html <There is the beginning of what I hope to be a successful, and fun rebuild... I know it's going to take me some serious time to finish, but I have some ideas already, and am certainly open to suggestions. Pics will come very soon, probably tomorrow, as soon as I take some and figure that out... I really wish I had taken some before pics, as the state this bike was in was, to say the least, embarrassing. Anywho, thanks for the reception folks!!! I appreciate it huge! :D
