Been riding for 25 years with a Nighthawk 750 1991 then sold it to get a sailboat which was a big mistake. Then bought a Kawasaki KLR 650 which I still have and like. Recently obtained a Red 1998 VFR with 12K miles which is fantastic. Love the sound and quickness. Have not got it to 7000 RPM but will.

Hi and Welcome to the Madhouse:Welcome:

12,000 km on a 98 - wow! Congratulations it sounds like you may be bringing that VFR back from a very long sleep. So before hitting 7,000rpm please make sure you give it a decent check over - it could be a death trap if it is still on the original "24 year old tyres, brakes....

The folks on here like photos so before folks start raggin on you - post up a photo of your VFR - it is easy - just click the "upload a file" link and follow the prompts to select and upload images from your computer.

    Take Care ATGATT
