I used to work in the UK bike press. I tested a VF750F for Mechanics Magazine in 1983. I loved it.
I was into dirt racing at the time and could not afford a VF as well as my enduro bike.
Fast forward to a few hours ago and I just bought 2 VF750FDs, one complete and running and another in bits.
I am going to overhaul the runner cosmetically and mechanically to make it a good as possible.
The stripped bike I plan to modify and use on track days - leave the engine stock but get as much weight off it as possible, 4-1 exhaust, 17 inch wheels (F2) and an HRC paint job.
Oh man, motorbikes - where would we be without them.
(PS my daily ride is a KTM RC8 R).
Hello to everyone who shares my passion for Honda V-Fours.:smug::smug:

    Thank you.
I'm collecting them on Saturday so I'll post pics when I've got them home.
    Definitely excited here.

Nice story, you should start a build thread to keep track of progress on both bikes! I love to see converted racers, especially the v four type. Welcome!

    Thank you for the welcome.

It willbe a while before I start. I'm in the middle of refurbishing a Ducati 996 at the moment which will take another couple of months.
