Picked up my new to me 95 750 VFR a couple of weeks ago. Have read a few informative posts that I will put to good use come spring time when the bike comes out of hibernation. IMG_3663.jpg

Welcome to the nuthouse!! Great looking bike!!

We have a few forum members from Canuckistan out your way! My favourite mountain to snowboard on is out your way in Rossland! :)

How many km's does that bike have? I've already got the 'winter itch' and the snow only just started to fall. :(

Mmm nice looking 4thgen, the better of em IMO. just saying even though I own a 5th which is a very close runner up. Good to see you on board, and you did really good throwing up a photo, other wise it would be here say ;) Now hang on, this place is quite the ride.

Thanks for the welcome. Bike has 65K Km on her. I will be doing a starter clutch in the spring so the detailed article on that will come in handy. For those Canadians out there where do you source your parts from? We get hammered with the exchange rate right now. Maybe spring time will lessen the impact of the exchange. Another shot of the other side just in case anyone doubts the bike really exists. IMG_3621.jpg

Rossland is several hours away from Maple Ridge but Whistler Blackcomb is close enough for world class boarding and skiing.

Canada Motorcycle Superstore is a good place to look for parts. Just do some sbopping around on the net. Pete's Superbike is consistantly great price wise for tires and they ship free. I am about to order a set of Michelins from them for mine. I will be heading to Maple Ridge for the tire change.

If you have a mail drop box in Sumas Wa, and your stuff is under a hundred bucks, Canada Customs rarely bothers youbwith duty. I use it often.

We gotta meet someday for a beer. Mine does not hibernate.

Isn't there a T lift on the floodway near the 101 for those locals so inclined to ski and board in Manitscolditoldya.

Not sure why I though Maple Ridge, was closer to the Kootenay's.

Parts, I buy most of my stuff from Canada's Motorcycle (canadasmotorcycle.com). They are no frills but ship quickly and usually have the best prices.

Motorcycle Innovations (motorcycleinnovations.ca) and Twisted Throttle (twistedthrottle.ca) also great sources within Canada.

Don't know for sure but I think there just might be a ski hill in the Kootenays. Maybe it was the Okanagan I was thinking of. I heard somewhere people there ski.

I have a box down in Point Roberts that is open 24/7 so I can go down there anytime.

Where in Maple Ridge do you go to change your tires?

I have a source in MR. Tried to get someone else here set up for tire changes there but he is not interested in doing tire changes for everyone. He's a friend with a machine that more or less does this as a favour to me.

There is another member of this forum, (inactive though) who just bought a tire changer a couple years ago in Abbotsford who might be interested though. He does charge for the tire change and balance however. I think he does have that special cone piece for our VFRs as well. Shoot me a PM if you are interested and I will see what I can do.

Welcome. There is a tire machine in my shop in 100 Mile House that has been known to do a few tire changes, even has a cone set for balancing;)
If you find yourself riding in the South Cariboo send me a PM and I will do what I can to show you a few backroads.

Thanks for the offer. I know there are some good roads up there. Been through a few times in my car. Highway 24 from Little Fort is a good ride but a bit of a journey to get to from here.

SO I guess I can't talk you into a ride down to Atascadero California in May for a Saturday ride and BBQ then? You can make it there in 24 hours, the bbq and ride then back in 24. Total about 4 days.

I would do the drive but probably not the ride. A bit too much saddle time for me and I have to admit that I am a fair weather rider. In my youth it was a different story.
