New member from New Jersey

Hello, I just bought a 2010 VFR1200.

Well I just paid for it. Its coming from out of state and will be delivered next week. It’s a one owner bike with only 5,300 miles. He added a Two Brothers Exhaust, a PUIG windscreen, and new Conti Sport Attack 2 tires. He threw in 2 Shoei helmets and 2 Dainese Armored jackets. I paid $5,900 which seemed like a bargain compared to everything I was looking at.

I'm excited, but a bit apprehensive as I haven’t been on a bike in over 25 years. My last bike was an ‘87 VFR700 : )

I was going to start with a smaller bike to get back into it (like an NC700), and then trade up next year, but figured I could not pass up the deal on the VFR1200. And once you ride a V4… well you all know.

Since I’ve been away for so long, I will have lots of questions for the group.

You will be fine on this bike. You have had previous experience. Hell, the first bike I ever rode was this one I have now. welcome to the World.

Thanks Anne Marie. I think I'd rather drive to KS, than around my own state. We have some crazy car drivers in the NY/NJ area.
