    Hello all,

New VFR 800 owner, 2006 model,.. had a '91 Katana 600 first bike years and years ago, then a uggghhh i really sold it highly under rated RF900RS2 that flat ran,.. now a VFR,.. i dig it,.. nice bike.

Looking to make some very minor changes to the gearing but i will read and read before posting,.. likely go to a -1 tooth up front swap or -1/+1, or 2 out back,.. we'll see.

    Thank you

Welcome to The World Brian! Be sure to search the forum if you have any questions, most likely it’s been asked before. Two items to note with the 6 Gen (2002-2009) is the Cam Chain Tensioners (CCT for short) and the Stator/RR. These are two areas that have to be looked into at some point. Other than that these bikes run a long time, standard maintenance is the key.

    WELCOME :Yo:

Gearing changes u suggested work well, best for underpowered bikes imo. will casuse more engine noise, which can get annoying on longer rides and wastes fuel
