Hey all. I'm wanting to get some input on the 06 Interceptors. I've been riding an 01 gs500 for over a year and want something a little faster. My riding is 90% highway @ 85 mph with a 100 mile + trip per day.
Also what kind of mileage can i expect to get on the honda (average).
    Thanks for all your help.
    Bill

Welcome to the group Scorpio. The VFR is an excellent bike for this type of use. While mine is not an 06 (it's a 93 VFR750), I get anywhere from 46 - 50 mpg, depending on how hard I ride it and how fast I go. Mine is pretty comfortable, though some have changed to an aftermarket seat for even more butt comfort I find it is a well put together bike that is reliable as well as versatile for commuting or running around town.

I ride a 98 and I usually get 38-40 mpg but if you're just going in a straight line without as many starts and stops, maybe it's better. Also, I have an aftermarket pipe and I think that makes the mileage a little worse. Of course, trying to lift the front end out of turns might affect it some. ;)

Welcome Bill from another Arizona rider! I have the '06 and love it. I agree with Vinny's mileage numbers, especially given where you live (straight, flat roads for a 100 miles is my guess). Which way are you riding that mileage daily? Tuba City? East?

I also recommend the hard luggage if you're doing miles like that each day. You can see some photos of my 2006 with the hard luggage on my PhotoBlog and the '06 compared to my former 2000 VFR at here.
