Hey guys. Just got my first VF500F2 and looking forward to getting it ready for the upcoming season. It is from 1987 and has just under 13.5k miles on the clock. Seems in good mechanical condition. Started cold first time (after sitting still for about 2 months) and idles at about 1200rpm. Only minor rust, but nothing that can't be fixed in an afternoon. Cosmetically, it needs a bit of work. There is some damage to the fairings, but it looks to be fixable. Not a big deal since I plan to vinyl wrap it completely along with a few other cosmetic upgrades. Overall I'm very happy with it.
That's a great find Norse. I bought one (exact same colours but not the full fairing) new (1985?) after spending too many hours gazing through the dealer's shop window at their display model. Loved it, wish I still had it.
I didn't do much looking. Rolled it out of the dealership about 3 hours after I randomly saw the listing online. And while I do like the way it looks now (apart form the rack), I have some pretty serious changes planned for it.
