new guy from norfolk/va beach

hi all. just got a friend deal on a 1985 vf700f and spent this past weekend retrieving it from alabama and bringing it home to virginia.



needs a few things done but i should have it all sorted out soon with the help of my friend, nephew, and the good people of this site.

When you get a chance you may want to add the specs of your bike to your forum profile - (my Profile tab at the very top of the page) that way they will appear alongside all your posts and you won't need to keep repeating them. Its also worth checking out relevant sub-forums (scroll down the forum home page) as they will often have advice about known problems and solutions and modifications people have carried out, and in the specifications forum you will find links to external resources which may be of interest.

Great looking, VF! I just got my VFR from Fredericksburg.

 

There was a VFR in Fredericksburg? Never saw it.

 

It was in Craigslist. I got down there two weeks ago on my way down to Norfolk. I took Amtrak last week from Alexandria to Fredburg. I drove home after we did the purchase and title transfer. I had a VA DMV "Trip Permit", a plate from the '92 I sold and an insurance card. Drove north on 17 to Warrenton and back to Arlington on 29.

 

thanks for the quick responses! I should be able to post more info on the bike later this afternoon, burning the midnight oil right now.
