Well i am officially an Interceptor owner again!!! just picked up a 1993 VFR750:cool:

So i thought i would introduce myself and tell a little background on myself and post up some pics of the new toy

First off i am in the navy and getting ready to transfer up to great lakes illinois so anybody in the chicago area hit me up and we will go riding sometime in the future!!! i also have another V4 bike, my favorite V4 bike, no offense to anybody, its a 1987 honda super magna, but the 3rd gen VFR is my second favorite bike of all time. anyways i use to own a vf500 about 3 years ago that was all custom done up, i shaved all the signals off of it, got airtech fiberglass full fairing kit for it and painted it jet black with a red crimson pearl in it, i will try and find some pics of it later, it also had a seat that was custom made in italy on it that i picked up off of ebay dont remember the maker of it, started with a g and was signed on it. as for other hobbies i am big into 3 wheeler, the all terrain type, and big into restoring stuff, well enough about me for now. its time for some pics, also picked up the bike for $1400, pretty good deal i think.

Congrats on your new purchase which indeed was a good deal! I've always kept tabs on current 3rd Gen pricing and it seems that the average selling price 3rd Gens that are in good condition is somewhere between $2000 and $2700.

How many miles on her? How did you end up coming across this bike?

pic of my super magna, its an older pic since this one was taken i have polished the front forks, front rim, engine side convers, put brand new tires on it, progressive front suspension and vtx progressive rear shocks, the pics of the 3 wheeler are before and after pics of my 1986 250R i built last year, has a lot of old school racing parts on it. and the one that is orange is one that i just finished building about 4 months ago, its a 1985 honda atc70 that i custom painted go mango, and put a 120cc motor with electric start in it in place of the 70cc that they come with stock and poweder coated everything on and did a couple other little custom mods to as well. i own 11 3 wheelers in total so if anybody in the chicago area is into off roading let me know and we can get together for that as well. also if you couldnt tell im a bit of a honda freak!!!!!!

well the bike has just over 40K on it, and i came across it on craigslist awhile ago, actually meeting up with the guy tomorrow to take ownership of it and at that time i will get some better pics of it up, it has brand new tires and a battery, needs to have the fork seals replaced so i will go ahead and add some progressive springs in when i rebuild them.

well i am hoping to give something back to this community and do some custom group buys down the road, just wondering what kinds of things would people like to see changed on their bikes? if i get some inputs on things that arent liked i could probably fab up some stuff, im a good welder, getting good at tig welding as well, good at body work and custom making fiberglass panels as well as painting, i also do powdercoating and polish work as well. so if anybody has things they would like to for changes to the bike speak up and let me know what ideas you have.

I have the exact same V&H exhaust on my 93 and I like it more than my old Yoshi pipe. The bike looks clean but the missing decals on the mid fairings and the non-OEM windscreen and tank decals increase the likelyhood that the bike was involved in an accident in the past. It's still a good looking bike and the bottom line is that if it rides good you still got a good deal on it. Congrats again!!

The '93 750 is one of my favorites. Your '86 250R brings back some memories. Back then I had an '85 200X, '85 350X and an '86 250R - I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The 250R was a sick machine. You could wheelie in any gear. In '87 I picked up a CR125 and I became a convert to the 2 wheel side. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
