Hello all, I'm new to the site and new to the V-Four awesomeness. Been riding since '06, had a '73 CL350 then a '81 CM400C. Always wanted a VF, and last week my buddy picked up a $260 EX500, so I had to come up with something comparable (re: better). Found a VF500F on craigslist yesterday for $250 and got it for $100; previous owner said it wouldn't shift. Apparently we had the golden touch because we ran it through the gears just fine! Sat for 3 years, he was told it was taking coolant when he first got it. It's dinged up, the victim of a horrible repaint, and missing the seat, side covers, and other odds and ends - but, hey, it was $100, and I'm capable of doing all my own work. Even came with F1 slip-ons. Hopefully I can get it going right before the season's out!

Since you have another bike to actually ride you can start wrenching and looking for parts.

You can see how many backup bikes Jamie has just so that he never needs to rely upon a VF 500 for transportation.

    Good luck.
