    Hey all,
I am 52 yrs young and an empty nestr. Married to the same wounderful woman for 30 yrs. but she won't ride with me:eek:, she hates helmet hair. The most fun I have had this yr (on a motorcycle) was running my 919 to the promise land..Kentucky, land of beautiful, abundant, long sweeping curves with great site lines and low traffic. 220 miles round trip for me.. I loved my Hornet but just sold it, to get a better long dis. mount. I am ready to pull the trigger on either a leftover-- Burgandy 07 VFR800 ABS for $7500 --or 07 VFR800 "non"ABS for $7000. Here is my 1st question?? Should I spend the extra QUAN on the ABS. Is the extra money and weight "really"worth it. I have good braking skills and I am going to do my 1st track day when the new Bluegrass Speedway opens (LORD willing). I have owned 12 different bikes, 03 Magna , F2, Vfr750, Superhawk ,Cbr1000, & many others. Can't wait to get my hands on the world's best sport/tour for ten yrs running Asap...But dont want to waist money if I dont have too! Could use the money for some kind of Helmet that wont cause helmet hair:thumbsup: Thanks in advance. Ilovheros

Do you ride in rain/bad weather often, or often enough? How often does that happen compared to how often you expect to hit the track or ride real aggressive in the twisties? When I say real aggressive, I mean do you know how, or plan to learn how to trail brake or brake drift (if so, ABS ain't the only issue, so is linked brakes)?

Answering these questions will answer yours.
