Let me say hi to all my new VFR brothers and sisters. I picked up a 2007 Red/White/Blue VFR800 and I LOVE IT!

I've been riding now for 18 years and have owned three bikes prior to this and extensively ridden half a dozen others. I do mostly short (50-100 mile) pleasure rides but have gotten into longer and longer (350 miles longest single day) rides as my bikes have gotten more comfortable.

    Owned:
    1990 CBR600 - first bike, owned a motorcycle before I owned a car.
1996 CBR600f4 - OK bike, stolen and never recovered.
2006 Katana 750 - I chose this over a VFR for financial reasons. Stolen and totaled.

I received my check from insurance company on Tuesday 10/16 and was riding my new VFR (screw the expense, I'm getting what I originally wanted) by that Saturday.

Nice job, BJ... I'm VFR is much easier to spell than Katana as well as being a wonderful bike to ride.

I'm wondering where you park the bikes? Where do you live that two have been stolen?

It's a nine year separation between thefts. But both were in northern DE. The first from right outside the townhouse I was renting (in a nice neighborhood). The second outside my apartment (again a fairly nice place).

I'm just unlucky with bikes. My first CBR600 was stolen by my younger brother for joy rides whenever I went out. I was at a stop light in a friend's car and watched him ride by. When I got home, I beat him up so badly that if he wasn't already in trouble with the law (and therefore not willing to talk to them) he could have had me arrested for assault.

Move further away from NJ, and your relations

Hope you have better luck with this bike.

    Welcome, enjoy.

but be careful because once you get on, you won't want to get off.

Ephrata is in about two weeks. See you then, perhaps?

I got mine from Planet Honda last december. when last I checked they had one RWB left. Is that one yours?

Nice going, Beej! I'm sure you'll like the new machine.
I picked up a slightly used red '04 this past Spring and I'm loving it.
Where are you in Delaware? I live in Hockessin, and commute almost every day to Elkton, MD.

Yeah, I got mine at Planet Honda but they had two when I walked in. So there's still one there right now.

OK I'll bite (I haven't had time to comb through the boards) what Ephrata?

Nice to se some people from where I grew up, my parents live in Kennet Square PA, right by Newark, if any of you are around the Elkton Maryland area please stop by Fire House BBQ off of 40, see if Cindi is there and tell her Pat Sauer sent you I am her son in law and I made all of the recipes for the meats! We also have another one in Kennet Square shopping center next to walmart, if you also get a chance try riding routes 82 to 841, some wonderful back road riding for the VFR, I will let you all know when the Marine Corps gives me a day off and I get to come up that way so maybe we can get a ride in!

I work in kennett. and the trip to and from Greenville, de on 82 daily is the best part of my day.
I'm gonna have to stop for that bbq.

When I was in the 82nd, we did combined opns with the Marines in SC., and the only thing I remember of it was that we were wet the whole time.

82, 841, 100 are all nice routes up that way!

Not too many turns down in Southern DE!

Hey guys, next year would you like to plan on joining my friend Jeff and I for a track day in West Virginia?

We all live pretty close and it would be great to have all the VFR's represent!
