I pick up my '06 vfr in white this week and want to change out the decals. The '06 model has red honda wings on the tank and red "interceptor" on the rear. Im thinking about removing the rear decal, and replacing the the tank wings with the same but in silver as well as adding a "HONDA" decal to the bottom of the fairing also in silver, similar to the CBR. Any thoughts or sugestions regarding this or alternatives. (just don't like the red decals)

Just keep in mind that the tank decals are clear coated over, so you would have to remove the clear coat and then get it re-sprayed. Not worth it IMO.

Does that mean that the decals on the farings are not clear coated over and that they are easier to remove? I am planning on replacing one of the decals on my left side faring... just checked with the dealer and they can order them in a couple of days... before I do.... is it going to be easy to remove?

If you can hook the edge of the decal with your fingernail it is not clear coated. On my 2006 the only decals that are clear coated are on the tank.

Only the tank decals are covered by clear coat on my 93.

On my 4th gen, the only 2 decals that are clearcoated are the sides of the tank. The fairing, fuel and helmet decals are not.

If you are putting the exact same decal on, but only a different colour, then just put it right over top of the original on the tank. Keep in mind though, that the tank is cleared over the decal because if you spill fuel on it, the decal will come off.
