Today I bought a '91 750 with less than 16K miles. New clutch has less than 10 miles on it and slips terribly. I couldn't even get the bike home. Had to go back to the shop that installed the clutch last month for the previous owner and have them fetch the bike on a trailer. A very frustrating day to say the least. Any ideas of what might be causing the problem would be appreciated. Ideas other than the obvious one of incompetent mechanics.
    Thanks,
    David

I must apologize to the mechanics. They discovered that one of the new clutch parts was defective. I hope to be riding next week.

That's unusually, impossibly low miles to need clutch replacement , so expect other signs of PO abuse or incompetence.:frown:

It's not a good shop if they didn't test-ride your bike after their work.
