Long time lurker but first post. Been reading this site for around 7 months now and been looking for a VFR on this and many other sites. Had an old 84 or 85 model years ago and loved it. Was thinking about a Goldwing, STR or something but after getting serious and researching, ironically and unknowingly, wound right back up to the VFR. Was originally looking for a 98-01 model (LOVE the whine of the cam gears) but ran across an ‘02 model that was absolutely immaculate, still had extended factory warranty, two brand new tires and under 10,000 miles. Too good a deal to pass up although way, way over my initial “budget” for a bike. Not cheap but worth the money. So now I am the proud owner and absolutely ecstatic! Went to the Honda store today and bought their spray polish/cleaner and disc lock. Looking forward to riding.

Thanks to your website for much information that I have researched and obtained. Looking forward to the adventure! Maybe one day have it shipped to the Dragon for a ride.

I am in north texas. been raining and not good days to ride. however, like the ketchup (if you remember the old commercials), anticipation just makes it all the better! may have to wait, but for her, I will!!

    OH, Man!

Finally got enough guts for "do or die time" and first ride was tonight. Been a while since I have been on a bike and OH, is this thing sweeeeeeeet! Compared to my old 84 interceptor, this one has much more torque, steering is much more responsive and, I assume due to the fuel injection, throttle is so much more responsive. This thing is choice! Even though stock, neighbor said it had a nice growl when I let off the gas. With all the gift cards from Christmas.......let's see.....there's new helmet, jacket, spray polish, alarm, gloves, courses, riding clubs.......(all my crap is old, gotta buy new!)

Man, this is the coolest thing. And to Reg's response, I have no doubt, I will NOT be disappointed. To anyone looking, spend the extra money for WHAT YOU WANT and just buy it. Don't think, just do it. I DID! No Regrets. Get what you want.
