Okay so I just bought a beautiful 92 vfr. I have had no problems with it except for when i'm filling out the info for the title. Maybe I'm just oblivious but I cannot find the damn engine number anywhere. I've looked all over the engine block and it is nowhere. Anybody know where I can find that thing so I can get her licensed and on the road?

First off, welcome to the madness. Post up some pics when you get the chance. Second, the frame serial number is stamped into the right side of the steering head, and is also stamped on the identification plate attached to the right side of the frame. The engine serial number is stamped into the right upper side of the crankcase, directly above the clutch unit. Good luck.

Wow thanks for the responses and I'll try to get some pics up when I get a chance. Do I need to remove anything to find the engine serial number (fairing, gas tank, etc?). Any other bike I see has the engine number stamped right there in plain sight. Buuuut I suppose this is a small issue to have for a bike so I consider myself lucky!
