just curious, this is the first bike i've owned and was just wondering about some of the things I've noticed. 06 vfr. 120 miles now. Seems like the disc brakes are rubbing? and putting off a slight brake wear noise. I think I'm also hearing a "whining" noise / higher pitched noise above 5k rpm. I haven't noticed any handling problems and the bike seems to run well. At faster speeds, say above 55 I hear a whistling noise that I think might be air going through the faring, etc. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
The whistling is probably air coming through the vent at the base of the windshield but the noise above 5000 rpm I don't know. My bike makes a resonating "whine" when I'm moving it into its spot to put it away that I think is from the brakes. Good luck on your new bike.
