Well here it goes … there will be a new bike in the stable. Before anybody asks why change the VFR – no the VFR will stay as well as lovely’s Piaggio Fly 150.

History - Before the Fly150 my lovely had a Burgman 400 which she (luck of better word) crashed:redface: . So we traded in with my first bike (DL650) and bought home the VFR and she got a smaller less intimidating scooter.

Slowly she got back to it but just around the house and despite the fact that she enjoys the scoot she would not want to go further by herself. So I tought first to take my VFR and go with her but not rally worked out as VFR can not go that sloooow so here came the question to how to solve this….

After thinking of used scooters and many other solutions I talked over this with my favorite dealer in Thousand Oaks and we figured that maybe a small 250 bike would do it…. So without further due I have chosen the GZ250 (Rebel was considered - but felt very cramped on it ) … Having two kids at 14 (twin boys) this may also become their learner bike as well … will see how it works out … I am even hoping that she will eventually drop the scoot and use the bike and later step back to 600+ engines …dreamimg is allowed

yes that would be nice , then Ninja 250 came in discussion once but somehow I could not imagine a Ninja and a Piaggion Fly 150 going down the road next to each oter ....so it had to be a small standard bike... i was looking at the Nighthawk but could find none.
