Traded my 2017 Africa Twin DCT on a new 2023 BMW S1000XR. They gave me more $ for AT than I paid for it brand new in 2020 ( I bought it new old stock).

The BMW is a thing of beauty. It has the S1000RR super bike engine slightly detuned to ~170hp. Every bell and whistle you can think of and more you may mot think of.

Now im really needing to try and get out on it once we get through this deluge of rain. hopefully I can get out before the snow comes back. I have only ridden it 250 ft into the garage so far.

Sport touring is the theme, bit of an adventure bike look though.

There would def be some quality time spent with the Owner's Manual while sitting on the Throne with that bike.

If I had 1 dedicated track bike it would be the S1000rr. So user friendly. Solid bike Stray!
You got the whole rainy season to go through that manual. hahaha

That looks like quite the weapon! I'm quite partial to an upright semi-naked missile myself. I've done about 30,000km on this one and it still brings an enormous grin every time I start it up.

That engine has ruined every other in-line 4 that I've ridden. I took a GSX-S1000GT out for a spin and although all the reviews froth over that K5-derived motor, it felt hollow, raspy and a bit flat to me.
