    Hey everyone,

Recently picked up a VF500F for $20 off of craigslist. Full flairing and cowls included. Super siked about riding it. Owner said he couldnt get it running and that it had no spark, but I ended up just replacing the spark plugs and it would run fine after spraying some starting fluid.

I think my starter might be busted as it quickly overheats and starts slowing down a lot and proceeds to not crank at all.

Heres my question, the bike has a Vance and Hines exhaust on it now, but it sounds LOUD as hell. I mean its crazy loud. I tried looking for aftermarket exhaust solutions but can't really find anything. How do I get a more high pitched ambient Formula 1 sound out of this bad boy?

Check the camshaft lobe height and condition before throwing any money at this project. Could be a diamond in the rough or it could quickly become a money pit. Good luck! Tough to go wrong at $20. There's $100's worth of parts there no matter what.
