New 5th Gen'r in Oakland

Hey Guys,

I just got my '98 VFR on Monday. If my avatar upload was successful, it's pictured at left. Made a straight across trade for my '03 SV650S. I wanted something a bit more relaxing & easier on my wrists. I'm the third owner, it is stock but for an Erion slip-on, green paint, and Givi top case.

My SV had a Sargent seat, and lurking here convinced me to order one for the VFR today.

Looking forward to many miles in 2010,

Welcome to the site Eric! There are several members right in your backyard (I'm just north of you past Berkeley). There's a lot of info and great people around this site so don't be afraid to ask questions. Also keep your eyes on this thread:

I have to check schedules, but I'm penciling-in that SLO meet - exactly the type of ride I like to do each summer.

 

Reg, I thought I'd tell you that they cleaned up that homeless encampment next to the freeway across the street from Jack London Square so that home is gone...

That last statement was not offensive at all! I do look like my avatar except I have bigger... never mind. Trust me, some of the things written on this forum would make a sailor cry!

 

Depending on when you lived there a lot has changed in the area. the old retail section of JLS was torn down and it's now all condos. I think the bar your thinking of might be Kimballs Reg...
